The Sales Manager manages sales activities of the organization by performing the following duties personally and/or through subordinate regional sales representatives.
1. Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
2. Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
3. Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
4. Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.
5. Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program.
6. Directs channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas and goals.
7. Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and assist customers in promoting sales.
8. Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product.
9. Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives.
10. Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
11. Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related units.
12. Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.
13. Prepare periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
14. Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition.
15. Recommends budget, expenditures, and appropriations for research and development work.
16. Effectively manages sales budget.
17. Maintains national sales staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
18. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

1. Bachelor’s degree or higher.
2. A minimum of 7 years in sales.
3. 3 years in a management position.
4. The ability to meet and exceed sales goals.
5. Previous experience with wholesale retail preferred and large product lines over 40,000 + sku’s.
6. Superior customer service skills.
7. Knowledge and familiarity with similar products.
8. Detail orientated.
9. Results driven.
10. Must maintain a high level of integrity.
11. Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office programs and familiar with office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, scanners, and fax machines.
12. Must be able to work primarily independently, but work well with the sales team members to achieve joint goals.
13. Must be able to pass a MVR pre-employment and annually if employed.
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and etc.
This position requires up to 25% travel. Frequently travel is outside the local area and overnight.
This is primarily a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. The id occasionally required to climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Employee must be to drive for continuous periods of time and on occasion fly to various locations for sales and/or customer meetings. Must attend Trade Shows in Dallas, TX.
