At CBI, we lead by example by adhering to these standards and we have an expectation that all vendors and sub-contractors involved in producing our products, including those located outside the United States will also adhere to these commitments.

We succeed when we collaborate and treat everyone respectfully, fairly, and with dignity. To uphold our strong ethical culture, we expect all employees of Craig Bachman Imports, Inc. to be truthful, transparent, courteous, considerate, and accurate with each individual that they encounter.

As we expand our sourcing base through strategic alliances, we will only do business with vendors and sub-contractors whose practices meet our high standards and whose values are compatible with our own.

HUMAN RIGHTS
CBI understands the importance of protecting a person’s human rights and have implemented specific expectations in the following areas:


DISCRIMINATION
Every employee and worker including international subcontracted workers will not be subjected to any form of discrimination based on gender, race, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, political opinion, social group or ethnic origin.

FORCED LABOR
At CBI, we have aligned our expectations to the ILO (International Labor Organization) Conventions 138 and 182 and the U.S. Tariff Act Section 307 prohibiting the importation of merchandise produced or manufactured, wholly or in part, in any foreign country by forced or indentured child labor. We are committed to the elimination of all forms of forced, indentured (including prison labor), involuntary, compulsory and uncompensated labor.

EMPLOYEE CONTRACTS
All workers must be provided with written employment contracts in languages easily understood by workers at the time of commencing their employment.

WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT
CBI maintains a safe, clean, healthy and productive environment for its employees and expects the same from its vendors.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERNS
CBI takes a proactive stance regarding environmental issues through its business practices. As responsible corporate citizens, we will favor those vendors who share our commitment to the community and the environment, and who comply with international and local environmental efforts to minimize negative effects on the environment.

IMPORT / EXPORT REGULATIONS
CBI complies with all economic and trade sanctions laws in all jurisdictions in which we operate and commit to comply with all national and international laws and requirements. We expect all our vendors to comply with all applicable import and export regulations.
