This position is responsible for the sale of the organization’s products in a specified region or major geographical area. The sales representative provides on-going support to customer service while building and maintaining professional relationships with territories customers.
1. Develops and increases sales revenue to meet assigned targets.
2. Acts as a resource to resellers in contract opportunities and proposals.
3. Focuses sales efforts by studying sales data regarding existing and potential customers.
4. Develops sales presentations and techniques to best match customers in territory.
5. Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call existing or potential customers.
6. Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
7. Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
8. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational & customer workshops and shows; reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
9. Provides historical data by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
10. Contributes to complete Sales Team effort by accomplishing related goals as needed.
11. Demonstrates product knowledge to show consumers items strong points.
12. Follow up on new leads, referrals from visits and CRM.
13. Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
1. At least three years of field sales experience.
2. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
3. Previous experience with wholesale accounts preferred.
4. Excellent customer service skills.
5. The ability to meet and exceed sales goals.
6. Must be self-starter and exceptionally organized.
7. Must be able to build and maintain client relationships.
8. Product knowledge preferred.
9. Must maintain a high level of integrity.
10. Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office programs and familiar with office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and scanners.
11. Must be able to work primarily independently, but work well with the sales team members to achieve joint goals.
12. Must be able to pass a MVR pre-employment and annually if employed.
13. Must be able to travel on weekly basis.
14. Must be able to drive a vehicle and maintain a safe driving record.
15. 60k base, plus commission.
This position requires up to 90% travel. Weekly travel is inside and outside the local area and overnight.
Off-site sales representatives will work from home when not on the road.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Employee must be to drive for continuous periods of time and on occasion fly to various locations for sales and/or customer meetings. Travel to Dallas Showroom and Frankfort Showroom twice a year.
