The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for data entry and maintenance of our product catalog. They also process purchase orders, check-in samples for new items, perform shipment quality checks, and communicate with suppliers.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Data entry and maintenance of CBI items, including details such as product descriptions, pricing, status, and minimum order quantities.
• Checking-in samples for new products
• Daily communication with vendors
• Create, check, and send purchase orders.
• Revise purchase orders when required.
• Travel to trade shows as needed.
• Perform shipment quality checks and follow-up with vendors.
• Other duties as directed.
Qualifications include:
• High School Diploma or greater
• Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects.
• Strong eye for detail
• Professional communication skills, both orally and in writing.
• Having a positive attitude; Ability & willingness to work as a team player.
• Ability to work interdepartmentally.
• Deadline Oriented
• Self-motivated, with a proven ability to work effectively and efficiently.
• Excellent math and analytical skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
Office environment, warehouse, and occasional showroom environment.
Occasionally, travel by airplane for trade shows.
Capable of lifting and moving boxes. This is a full-time position. The normal work week is 7:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. It will require Saturday and possibly Sunday hours during peak times throughout the year. There is also a possible travel requirement to our Dallas showroom at least once a year to work at the trade show.
