The Sales Manager Assistant/Key Accounts daily duties will consist of such tasks as but not limited to sourcing new leads for all territories, maintaining predetermined customer accounts identified below and facilitating custom projects for the Sales Manager. The Sales Manager Assistant/Key Accounts position will be directed and managed by the Sales Manager and Vice President of CBI.
1. Reach out to customers with specific questions, research unique requests to facilitate purchasing and sales manager to move forward with quoting.
2. Will be able to understand and work with customers on exclusive products designed by Product Development and private labeling for items, cartons, product numbers etc .
3. Will research and suggest items for sale based on previous year purchases that weren’t reordered.
4. Source new customers for territories and relay information to corresponding Account Representatives and Regional Sales Representatives.
5. Identify Prime Priced items that are best suited to specific key accounts and promote to them.
6. Be liaison between key accounts and shipping dept. setting realistic expectations for delivery/shipping costs.
7. Responsible for day-to-day order taking specific to key and individual accounts.
8. Maintain Key Accounts in multiple territories (currently 20 customers).
9. Work with other departments including – Accounting, Shipping, Customer Service to problem sole and assist with customer needs.
10. Assist Sales Manager with special projects and assignments. Be able to resume some additional responsibilities when Sales Manager is out of the office traveling.
11. Other duties to be assigned.
1. A minimum of 1 year in wholesale/retail sales or customer service position preferred.
2. Will be self starter who can create goals and then achieve them.
3. Superior customer service skills.
4. Knowledge and familiarity with similar products.
5. Detail orientated.
6. Results driven.
7. Must maintain a high level of integrity.
8. Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office programs and familiar with office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, scanners, and fax machines.
9. Must be able to work primarily independently, but work well with the sales team members to achieve joint goals.
10. Must be able to pass a MVR pre-employment and annually if employed.
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and scanners.
Sales Manager Assistant will report directly to the Sales Manager.
8:00 am -5:00 pm, M-F 40 hours a week. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Attend trade shows in Dallas and Frankfort twice a year.

This is primarily a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. The Sales Manager Assistant is occasionally required to climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Employee must be able to drive for continuous periods of time and on occasion fly to various locations for trade shows and/or customer meetings.
