As you may have heard in the news on February 20, 2026, the U.S. Supreme Court struck down President Donald Trump's IEEPA tariffs imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act enacted in February 2025. The Supreme Court’s ruling did not address tariff refunds. Any refunds could be tied up in court for years.
The administration has enacted a new 10% global tariff starting February 24, 2026,to offset the loss of the IEEPA tariffs. This tariff may be increased to 15%.
Craig Bachman Imports, Inc. (CBI) is monitoring this issue very closely. We will continue to follow our published tariff policy and adjust pricing as described below.
CBI’s pricing is based on current tariff rates. If a tariff for any country fluctuates up or down, up to 10%, CBI will absorb the change in tariff.
If a tariff fluctuation exceeds 10%, we will absorb 20% of the portion above the initial 10%. CBI will adjust pricing appropriately if the tariff fluctuates more than 10%.
Our products pending importation from India will now be subject to the global 10% tariff. This tariff may be increased to 15%. The 25% Russian oil penalty, and the 25% IEEPA tariff are now gone. For current India orders, we will adjust the prices accordingly before the goods arrive in the U.S.
We recognize the challenges presented by the current market environment and we remain committed to providing high-quality products at fair and competitive prices. We sincerely appreciate your continued trust and partnership.
Sincerely,
The CBI Team
