Logistics Associates process shipment invoices, freight invoices, and sales confirmations. They are also responsible for setting up the new shipments and track the shipments from overseas to the point of delivery. They communicate with customers, and vendors by email or phone calls. They maintain the data in elite to provide updates to other departments.
The department develops and maintains good working relationships with other departments within the organization as well as brokers, freight carriers, customers, and our overseas agents and vendors.
Import Shipping:
Process invoices and confirmations
Data entry
Shipment tracking
Run shipping reports and verify that appropriate orders are consolidated.
Verify shipment bookings and data
Helps prepare and process documents involved in customs clearance
Communicates with vendors by email
Coordinate with brokers, carriers, and truckers to ensure timely delivery
Shipment Receiving:
Prepares documents for warehouse check-in
Coordinate the delivery of import shipments with warehouse staff
Perform Quality checks on new incoming shipments
Communicate with vendors to resolve over, short, or damaged items
Other duties as assigned
High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field a plus. The position requires proficiency with Microsoft office programs including Excel and Outlook as well as good math skills. Well-developed interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a professional demeanor are a must.

This position is required to work both in the office and frequently in the warehouse in non-climate-controlled conditions.
You must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period, and stand, walk, and occasionally lift boxes during quality control inspections.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Hourly position with normal working hours from 8am to 5 pm with a 1-hour lunch, Monday through Friday. You will be required to work overtime during peak seasons.
