Order Processing Associate is to ensure all sales orders are entered correctly with correct discounts applied. The Order Processing Associate must be a “team player” who is required to work in conjunction with other departments in order to meet the needs of the customer. In doing so, the Order Processing Associate should understand those department’s functions as they affect the customers.
1. Check all sales orders that are processed by Customer Service representatives. Make sure that the correct customer, shipping address, and correct ship and cancel dates are used. Make sure that the items are entered correctly and that the discounts applied are correct according to whether the order is from stock or import, and also per promotion. Verify that the order is fully allocated if needed, and make sure the shipping department receives the order in a timely manner once the order has been approved.
2. Follow a firm work schedule as directed by supervisor.
3. Perform work that is routine and detailed. Must take notes during training and be able to refer to notes in order to follow policy and procedures.
4. Deals with various types of inquiries tactfully, courteously, and in a timely business manner. Specific inquiries could include such things as but not limited to, customer’s requests were entered incorrectly, wrong discount applied, terms not as customer thought, etc.
5. Follows written and oral instructions with little or no supervision.
6. Research and resolve customer inquiries.
7. Establish organized and effective work habits. Detailed oriented.
8. Handle projects diverse in nature. Such projects could include working in other departments and helping out when your department is not as busy.

3. Must be able to work a computer and have knowledge of Microsoft office software.

While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required communicate with staff. This role is largely computer based. An employee must be able to spend most of the work day looking at a computer screen and utilizing the computer to complete job related tasks. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing maybe required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and box old/unnecessary files.
This is a full-time exempt position. Days and hours of the week are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm CST. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
