The Creative Manager will manage and create visual concepts and item photography that inspire, inform, and captivate key audiences or customer market segments. This position will manage and develop layout, production design and photography for a variety of print collateral, advertisements, online digital, video, and other creative communication channels. Incorporate recommended changes and review designs for errors before final design and production and deployment. Work within and be innovative around an established style guide to maintain the integrity of the CBI brand.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Clearly articulate creative concepts, efficiently manage the creation of concept, complete error review and deployment of deliverable for company social media platforms, website, media channels, digital assets and print collateral based on direction from Sales & Marketing Director.
2. Manage photographer and photography studio for best case item and item use photos based on direction from senior management.
3. Advise on design strategies and potential new marketing platforms and help determine messages to best engage existing and new customers.
4. Ability to manage staff scheduling and deadlines to align with company marketing campaigns and initiative needs.
5. Will stay current in marketing trends and news like Google updates and changes in algorithms, Facebook Insights, etc.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Graphic Design or Advertising like degree
2. Eight to ten years of creative direction leading a minimum of three direct reports and managing outside vendors to complete creative projects is mandatory.
3. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Excel, Word, email blast software and ERP software is mandatory.
4. Understanding of code languages such as html and CSS with some editing capabilities.
5. Understanding of offset printing for best case outcome including but not limited to the Pantone Matching System, correct file creation, and collection practices.

10. Has ability to read KPI data from platforms like Google Analytics and Facebook Insights and can make informed decisions to better existing and future marketing initiatives

14. Experience and understanding of the crafting and floral industry are a plus.
Working Conditions
Office environment, occasional warehouse and showroom environment.
Travel by airplane for trade shows.
Physical Requirements
Capable of lifting and moving tables, props and display structures.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full time position. The normal work week is 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. It will require Saturday and Sunday hours during peak times throughout the year.
There may also be a travel requirement to our Dallas showroom at least twice a year to work the trade shows.
